Hello,
I'd like to buy 2 or 3 grape vines to grow up and along a covered deck area. What varieties do you recommend? The area is in full sun for the afternoon.

Regards,
Damien

Hi Damien, As far as grapes for growing in Melbourne are concerned, you should go for the cooler climate varieties. Some of the better ones are, Menindee (or M12), Crimson Seedless, Gordo (White Muscatel), or Sultana. All do relatively well here and grow just fine. Full sun is fantastic. All varieties of grapes soak up as much sun as you can give them.

Cheers,
The Plant Whiz

I am interested in purchasing a Rocoto Tree chilli; Do you sell trees, or only the fruit? If you do have trees, could you please advise size, and cost details.

Hi Ken,
We do sell Rocoto chilli plants. They are just over a year old, producing fruit and in a 6"pot. They are about 400 to 500mm. tall, sturdy and healthy. They sell for $7.50 per plant and are available through our store in Preston Markets, Preston. For more contact info, please visit our "Contact Us,"page.

Hi
I’d like to start a worm-farm and with this intention I bought a worm-farming unit with lift-out boxes and a tap at the bottom. However I didn’t realise that worms cost a lot of money (about $40 for a box at Gardenworld). Could you suggest a place where I can get them cheaper? I live in Carrum Downs, but I don’t mind travelling a bit as I’m very keen to get started.
Thank you
Rosemary

Hi Rosemary,
Thanks for your inquiry. I’m not sure what quantity of worms you were getting for $40.00, but you can check out this site, Kizan Worms, as you may find a better deal there. They do online mail order deliveries so you could check it out. Hope this helps.

Thanks,
James
